GLOBAL EDGE CAREERS CO., LTD (any of “ Global Edge Careers”, “we”, or “our”), located at Iidabashi Main Building, 3rd floor, 2-2-5 Fujimi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, complies with the applicable personal information protection regulations of each country and processes the personal information of our customers, officers and employees of business partners, job applicants, resignees, (collectively, “you,” unless specified otherwise) as follows.
In addition to this Global Privacy Policy, which applies to all of you who use the Services , we have prepared exhibits that may also apply to you depending on the area in which you reside or are located, please refer to the applicable exhibits. We process the following personal information regarding customers who use the Services or other personal information we have obtained regarding business activities (if required by applicable laws and regulations, Global Edge Careers shall obtain such personal information after separately notifying the customers) in relation to our Japanese language education services (the “Japanese Language Education Services”), domestic and foreign services for the recruitment and dispatch of workers (the “Services for the Recruitment and Dispatch of Workers”), and other services we provide (collectively with the Japanese Language Education Services and the Services for the Recruitment and Dispatch of Workers, the “Services”; in addition, the Services include websites regarding the Services (the “Websites”) and responding to inquiries regarding the Services; hereinafter the same).
-Registration information (name, user name, e-mail address, address, date of birth, password, telephone number, occupation, course, information related to academic results (student ID number, graduation day, total credits, faculty and department, qualification, GPA, or the like), information related to resumes (facial portrait, gender, employer details and business address, school history and job history, licence and qualification, reason for application, self-promotion, or the like), information related to resumes of work history (company name, workplace, employment period, title and area of responsibility, details of work, self-promotion, or the like), payment methods, information related to resumes of technical interns (gender, nationality, mother tongue, school history and job history, job history pertaining to skills, etc. scheduled to be obtained, experience of visiting Japan, experience of technical training and its classification, record of non-issuance of Certificate of Eligibility in the past, or the like))
-Service information (usage histories for the Services of customers who have used them (such as class attendance records), and other personal information collected by Global Edge Careers in connection with the Services (if required by applicable laws and regulations, Global Edge Careers Recruit shall obtain such personal information after separately notifying the customers))
-Details of preliminary interview (name, date of birth, impression at the interview, school history (such as CAD experience), Japanese-language level, job history, desired salary, family structure, medical history, and other personal information we collect upon the interview (if required by applicable laws and regulations, Global Edge Careers shall obtain such personal information after separately notifying the customers))
-Cookies and other online identifiers of customers who have accessed the Websites (including access tokens and refresh tokens of customers who have used the Services, IP addresses, provider information, terminal information, and web browser information of customers who have accessed the Websites) and attribute information of customers who have accessed the Websites (such as age, gender, interest categories, affinity categories, and in-market segments; for more information about interest categories, affinity categories, and in-market segments, please visit About Demographics and Interests - Analytics Help (google.com))
-Contact information (names, e-mail addresses, inquiry items, and inquiry details of customers who have contacted Global Edge Careers)
-Inferred information (information that infers customer preferences and interests based on the personal information of our customers)
-In addition to the above, we may also collect any other information customers voluntarily provide to us while using the Services.
(2)Personal information in relation to the officers, employees, and the like of business partners
-Contact details or other information in relation to the officers, employees, and the like (name, job title, date of birth, birthplace, address, postal code, telephone number, mobile phone number, fax number, e-mail address, most recent education, hobbies, prefecture of residence, marital status and family structure of the officer, employee, and the like himself or herself)
-Information in relation to affiliation (name and location of the corporation, division, branch office, or factory to which the officer, employee, and the like belongs)
-Sales negotiation histories and information in relation to details of transactions (details of products and services to which you subscribed, details of sales negotiations, details of inquiries and estimates, or the like)
-Other information (any other personal information necessary for the purpose set out in 2. of this Global Privacy Policy)
(3)Personal information in relation to job applicants of Global Edge Careers
-Information regarding identity and contact details (name; address; contact details such as telephone number, e-mail address, and fax number; ID card number; passport number; date of birth; gender; age; nationality; signature; school history; job history; facial portrait; reason to work with us and other information stated on the documents for application for recruitment activities (including in an electromagnetic manner) or provided with that documents as attachment; information on electronic systems or online information; information taken by a camera; information on social media)
-Details of the interview (conversation during the interview, impression and evaluation at the interview, and other personal information we collect from the interview (if required by applicable laws and regulations, we shall obtain such personal information after separately notifying the customers))
-Cookies and other online identifiers of applicants who have accessed the Websites (including access tokens and refresh tokens of applicants which have used for our recruitment activities, IP addresses, provider information, terminal information, and web browser information of applicants who have accessed the Websites) and attribute information of applicants who have accessed the Websites (such as age, gender, interest categories, affinity categories, and in-market segments)
-Other information (any other personal information necessary for the purpose set out in 2. of this Global Privacy Policy)
(4)Personal information in relation to resignees of Global Edge Careers
-Contact details or any other information in relation to resignees (name, address, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address, gender, facial portrait, term of office, salary and remuneration, amount of retirement allowance and retirement bonus, account number, division transfer history, and staff code)
2.Purpose of collection or other processing
Global Edge Careers may process your personal information for the following purposes:

-to register for the Services and conduct identity authentication when using the Services;
-to manage customers of the Services;
-to provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
-to conduct an interview with customers of the Services for the Recruitment and Dispatch of Workers;
-to introduce a job and to conduct matching services, etc. to customers of the Services for the Recruitment and Dispatch of Workers;
-to conduct immigration application regarding customers of the Services for the Recruitment and Dispatch of Workers;
-to invoice customers when any charges are incurred for the Services;
-to prevent and respond to misconduct, etc. regarding the Services;
-to provide and introduce after-sales services for the Services;
-to conduct questionnaires and campaigns regarding the Services;
-to conduct research and analysis of marketing data and to examine and implement marketing measures;
-to implement provision, solicitation, advertising, provision of information, or other marketing of the products and services of Global Edge Careers or our affiliated companies or partner companies in accordance with customer preferences and interests based on an analysis of the attributes and behavioral history of customers using the Services;
-to analyze the attributes of customers who accessed the Websites and personalize and improve our customers’ experience when they access the Websites;
-to improve the Services and plan and develop new services;
-to maintain the Websites, diagnose server problems, and fix faults;
-to respond to inquiries made by customers and to contact customers, etc.;
-to respond to disputes and litigation, or the like and to comply with our legal obligations;
-to develop new services and to use as a reference in order to acquire new content;
-to prepare statistical information and other non-personal information;
-with customer consent, or as otherwise disclosed at the time information is collected;
-for our recordkeeping purposes;
-for training employees;
-to maintain the security of the Services and the Websites including for preventing cyber-attacks;
-to upgrade, update, etc. of our computers and systems, or the like;
-to provide such customer personal information to third parties by the methods stated in this Global Privacy Policy;
-other operations required for providing the Services and services incidental thereto; and
-for other purposes permitted under applicable laws and regulations.

-to receive provision of services and products (contracts, inquiries, orders, etc.);

The provision of your personal information may be mandatory for reasons such as being a statutory or contractual requirement or being a necessary requirement for entering into a contract. 4.Retention period for personal information
In order to decide the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the following: the volume, nature, and confidentiality of the personal information; the potential risk of damage caused by unauthorized use or disclosure of the personal information; the purposes for which we process the personal information and whether we can achieve those purposes by other means; and applicable legal requirements. If your personal information collected by us becomes no longer necessary, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, and if such measures are impracticable (for example, if your personal information has been stored in back-up archives), we will retain your personal information safely until its deletion becomes practicable and ensure that any new processing will not be conducted with respect to your personal information.

-Your personal information may be provided to a temporary employment agency upon provision of the Services for the Recruitment and Dispatch of Workers.

In that case, Global Edge Careers will take the appropriate protection measures required by the Personal Information Protection Act of Japan.

For management of your personal information, in order to prevent the unauthorized disclosure, loss, or damage thereof, Global Edge Careers takes the necessary and appropriate management measures.
